#1 Should I choose trace interval as Time or Distance?

In both cases TraceLog will log your location. Best choose Distance as your trace interval when you need to log a specific travel.

#2 What does the PRIVATE switch do?.​​

Switch to PRIVATE when you need to show the TraceLog report to anybody (be it your boss, spouse or customer) and you prefer to keep part of your day private. Time will be logged, but not the locations are not logged. Anywhere.

#3 How do I add a NOTE?

You can add a note - of any length - by tapping the NOTE icon that appears at the end of the CURRENT ADDRESS line after you press START. The note will be added to the list at the most recent trace entry and will be noted by an ARROW SIGN at line-end. A note can also be added offline from the LOG Trace List, by tapping '+' for the relevant location/time.

#4 The Current Location displayed is incorrect!

The resolution of the system GPS may cause a display of a location on a neighboring street. In most cases, tapping REFRESH (at the end of the Current Location line) - will correct the address.

​#5 Where can I keep the log reports?

All data are kept on the iPhone/iPad for the number of months specified by the user in the SETTINGS screen. Please remember to send daily or monthly reports by mail - from the LOG Report screen - for further editing and safekeeping.
